AutoFLO v7.09 -- for AutoCAD-based floodlight aiming diagrams

AutoFLO generates floodlight poletop arrangement diagrams as AutoCAD drawings. Either as an established user, or for a free trial, download the latest version of AutoFLO.

Typically, a user would employ one or more AutoCAD template .dwt files to embellish AutoFLO output with border, title block, etc.

Like AutoLUX, AutoFLO requires reasonable proficiency with AutoCAD. Total AutoFLO footprint on your computer's hard drive: about 1 megabyte.

AutoFLO takes input directly from an AutoLUX floodlight application drawing (= AutoCAD .dwg file). If you don't use AutoLUX, you may still evaluate AutoFLO -- see You don't use AutoLUX ? below.

AutoFLO output is another AutoCAD drawing, as in the example above. AutoFLO features include:

• All manipulation is entirely within AutoCAD -- no DXF in/out required
• Automatic floodlight placements on pole, based on sorted aiming angles
• H,V aiming angles (or xyz aiming points) change as floodlight position on poletop changes
• Manual exchange of any two floodlights on a pole
• Accounts for aiming symmetry with both automatic arrangement and manual exchanges
• Automatic positioning of arrangements to fit within user-defined pages
• Optional inclusion of field background and aiming grid
• Parameters under user control:
  1. Paper dimensions
  2. Text fonts
  3. Crossarm capacity -- both global and for each pole individually
  4. Size of and spacing between floodlight circle symbols on paper
  5. Real-world x,y spacing between floodlights
  6. Primary sort on either H or V angles
  7. Gaps on either lowest or highest arm

You don't use AutoLUX ?

Although AutoFLO's primary input is an AutoLUX .dwg file, even if you are not an AutoLUX user you may take advantage of the AutoFLO Free Trial. This is because the AutoFLO download package includes a sample AutoLUX drawing which you may use to evaluate AutoFLO's performance and features. Following download / installation the full pathname of the sample .dwg file is \AFLO\Soccer_Example.dwg. Simply point to this file when you use the AutoFLO GetAluxDwg command.

1. Start AutoCAD as you normally do.
2. Follow the instructions in the AutoFLO online User's Guide to activate the AutoFLO menu within AutoCAD. The Guide (open it with your web browser) is \AFLO\AutoFLO_UsersGuide.htm.
3. Click the 'AutoFLO7' pick on the AutoCAD menu bar. On the dropdown, click 'Utilities' at the bottom.
4. On the flyout click 'Authorize'. The Authorize screen will display your Site Code.
5. E-mail us or call in (USA 843-886-5747) the Site Code to us. We will respond with an Authorization Code good for three months.

Please note that you can use the Free Trial even if you are not an AutoLUX user! (see You don't use AutoLUX ? above)
